Agnes & Dora has been brought up here on LLF before: the company has started to take pages out of the LuLaRoe playbook. Stories run rampant of reps being terminated for, amongst other things, selling the inventory that they OWN for a prices that they deem appropriate. Also, Agnes & Dora has encouraged the mean girl syndrome, as can be seen in the image below.
They advocate and even encourage their reps to tattle on one another. Sound familiar? Hello, hello!
Many SJWs took to the internet yesterday in regards to a Agnes & Dora rep within the Agnes & Dora leadership, Lindsy Hitchens, making racial and hateful speech towards POC (people of color). It has been stated that this post appeared on an anti-SJW group on Facebook.
Yes, you read that correctly. She referred to a POC as an “ape” (pun intended) and revels in the fact that Agnes & Dora has fired a bunch of SJWs.
I have seen the stories from some Agnes & Dora POC and SJWs and they speak of racial and diversity issues going back for years. Agnes & Dora was founded in 2013. Agnes & Dora reps that have spoken out against racism have been terminated from the company: deemed as troublemakers.
A&D’s public Facebook page was blown up yesterday by people standing up against racism and demanding that Agnes & Dora do something about this issue. Agnes & Dora’s first response was to delete the comments from their business page of people expressing outrage at the comments made by Lindsy. Hundreds of comments got deleted seconds after they were posted. People were BLOCKED from the Agnes & Dora business page for expressing their outrage, and many of those people were POC. Let’s just silence everyone and sweep this under the carpet, shall we? How’d that work out for you, Buffy?
It didn’t. More people came to the fight and it spread to Twitter, Instagram and many other social media platforms. A shitstorm ensued that forced Agnes & Dora to take notice and make a public response to the outcry. This was their response.
SHE. STEPPED. DOWN. FROM. LEADERSHIP. Yes, you read that correctly. She wasn’t terminated from leadership, she voluntarily stepped down and was given a CHOICE about it. Agnes & Dora did not think this was a severe enough offense to act on their own accord – they gave Lindsy the “option” to step down. Or not.
We SJWs were NOT to be placated. Given the option to “step down” from such a heinous and racist comment? Are you fucking SERIOUS right now? That’s is completely unacceptable. Agnes & Dora was told, in no uncertain terms, that this was NOT an appropriate response for this type of behavior. They were told LOUD AND CLEAR how that is not something that can or would be tolerated.
After hours of commenting on the Agnes & Dora post on their public Facebook business page, Agnes & Dora finally took a stance and terminated her representative agreement. Would they have done this without the internet calling them out on it and taking a stand? I highly doubt it. If this was not brought to the forefront and so many people expressing concerns as they did, Buffy would have swept this under the rug as she’s been prone to do is so many other “undesirable” situations.

Lindsy’s mother, Renee Messing chimes in on the thread, trying to defend her child’s racist comments.
Notice that she doesn’t out herself as Lindsy’s mother……she doesn’t do that til later and then compares her daughter to Jesus.
NAILED. TO. THE. CROSS. I just can’t……this woman really needs to go back to basics and read her bible. Jesus WAS a SJW……one on the very first! In my opinion, this is something that he would have NEVER EVER tolerated. All throughout the bible, Jesus fought for the downtrodden and unjustly treated.
Those death threats that Renee refers to were called “African American” death threats later on in the post.
Can someone please explain to me what an African American death threat is? Or is this you, Sheena, trying to stir the post and cry reverse racism? GTFO of here with THAT shit. No screenshots were ever posted that confirmed that allegation.
Let me explain something to you: I fall within the group of “diverse” people. I have been discriminated against. Hate speech has been spewed in my presence, about me. It’s been spewed in my presence about other categories of people. I DO NOT TOLERATE IN REAL LIFE OR ON THE INTERNET. Period. Try to pull that racist and discriminatory shit around me and you WILL see me correct you and school you on what racism and hate speech is all about and how NOT to be a dickhole. And don’t even get me started on cultural appropriation.
The woman who was called out in Lindsy’s rant was contacted by phone by Agnes & Dora. They apologized and I’m sure that they think that everything is ok now. But it’s NOT. Agnes & Dora, from the rampant discrimination that’s been noticed in your organization, for years, this is not a satisfactory approach. It is apparent that your reps need schooled, and QUICKLY, how to NOT be racist assholes. There should be a MANDATORY education session, or perhaps several, on how to be HUMAN and not discriminate. Take White Nonsense Roundup up on their offer.
So, yes, Agnes & Dora – you can call me a SJW ANY day….I’m am happy to be one and call people out on it everyday, in person or online. Racism and injustice must NOT be tolerated and for Pete’s sake, it’s starts at the TOP. Both in this situation and at the top of our current political climate.
