We’re all aware of the mass shooting in Las Vegas that happened late Sunday night at the Route 91 concert. This was the LARGEST MASS SHOOTING in USA history.
In tacky-as-fuck fashion, LuLaRoe stuck their collective heads’ in the sand and instead, had a ribbon cutting ceremony and dance party for their “new” South Carolina warehouse opening.
This screenshot is from Instagram. The image hit social media yesterday at around 8:28AM PDT, but is no longer showing on their IG feed. It seems that you can go “live” on IG, but then have to share the video for it to remain live for 24 hours. I do not know if LuLaRoe deleted the video or if they didn’t share it so that it would remain for 24 hours.
Quite a few respectable companies went silent or only honored the victims of the mass shooting yesterday, on social media. That is the respectable and responsible thing to do.
So…let’s back up a minute. The LuLaRoe South Carolina warehouse has been open for quite awhile – I cannot remember the exact date LuLaRoe started shipping from that warehouse, but I know that it’s already functional. The ribbon cutting ceremony was just a “formality” and could have been moved to another date. It’s not like this was THE opening day – it was just a formal ceremony.
Quite a few people on social media are not happy with LuLaRoe’s calloused and insensitive approach to this national tragedy. It did not sit well at all.
The last line sums it up perfectly “Their specialty. Ignore and deflect”.
No truer words have been spoken.
